BA Architecture

To apply for the Bachelor’s program in Architecture, applicants must have a German Abitur or Fachabitur, or an equivalent international qualification. Foreign qualifications must meet the equivalency criteria established by the Central Office for Foreign Education.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

• Passport
• High school diploma with transcript
• Official translation into English or German if the documents are issued in another language
• College transcript with academic record, if applicable
• Certified translation into English or German, if applicable
• English language certificate at CEFR level B2 or higher
• Portfolio in PDF format containing at least 10 pieces of work

The portfolio should visually demonstrate artistic interests, skills, and experience and show a clear interest in spatial and architectural issues. Professional design work is not expected. The portfolio should contain 10 samples of work in a single PDF file with a maximum file size of 25 MB. Each piece should include a brief description explaining the work, its context, and the date it was created.

The score must have been achieved within the last two years. No knowledge of German is required for this English-language program.

If applicants do not yet have English proficiency at CEFR Level B2 but are eligible to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program, they may apply to the English Preparatory School.
