FS 2018/19 II 5. Sem. II Interdisciplinary Project Studio II Prof. Adrian von Starck, Heike Brandt
Interior Design, Product Design and Graphic Design & Visual Communication
Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, the Berlin porcelain manufactory with a long tradition, was open-minded for a reinterpretation of their brand in student case studies. How to transport the over 250-year-old brand values into contemporary functionality and formal language?
In the Interdisciplinary Project Studio students from the Interior Design, Product Design and Graphic Design & Visual Communication programs work together. Louise Man, Viktorie Krajnik and Dominik Poppe brought the authentic charm of the manufactory workshops to a new approach of high-end product presentation. Combining rough and simple materials with the fragile perfection of the products created a gallery-like retail concept that shows craftmanship and lifestyle alike.
