The task was to develop a headquarter for a forward-thinking company or organization that will provide office and workspaces as well as areas of living for the employees in order to create a future work living model. In times of a global pandemic, discussions about a shifting nature of the working environment are at the heart of architectural profession.
The projects could be seen as a test model for these new spatial considerations. The site is located at Budapester Strasse 1, at corner with the Lützow Ufer, bordering the Landwehrkanal. It is currently occupied by the Berlin Hyp AG offices, a building that will be replaced in the near future.
Due to its prominent location the building should also include the provision of sufficient amenity and outdoor spaces including a large public space on the ground floor level.
