Interactive Masterpieces

The future Product Designer will be designing chimeric objects. The will no longer be a sharp, identifiable parting line between digital and analog. Hence it’s mandatory for young aspiring designers to understand both challenges and possibilities in the field of these chimeric objects. The topic is omnipresent: The world is talking about IoT, industry 4.0 and the potential of robotics in all spheres of life. Designing in the described field the use of Arduino and processing empowers a designer to quickly mock-up objects with a digital soul.

The students applied their newly acquired skills to the making of an interactive art piece that invites the spectator to interact with a masterpiece from the past.
