Redesign the student lounge for Berlin International University of applied sciences - Discover, Dream, Develop, Do!  It sounds that simple. Whereas it is rather complex:  Students from the 2nd semester product design took on the challenges of this live project. They understood the brand BI, the institutions’ requirements, they assessed the students needs, presented they concept to various stakeholders, designed for manufacturing and assembly, became short term carpenters and managed to deliver just in time!  Furthermore they were supported by our amazing workshop staff and workshop student assistants, who turned our facilities in the basement into a production line! Credit for the wall graphic goes to our 4th semester GD/VC student Anton Bugaev. Thanks to the management for funding this endeavor and all our staff members who supported the ordering process and kept the spirit high!

The students worked both in a group and individually. Research and concept definition were conducted as a group in an agency like setting. Throughout the refinement and implementation phase each student performed individual tasks that make the whole: the new interior of the student lounge.
